The Town of Durham Must Continue to Fight Eversource's SRP

I oppose the Eversource project. Please appeal the decision.

Eversource informed me of the day the SEC would come to view the site of SRP. My house is 40 feet from the corridor; I was outside when the two to three passenger vans pulled up beyond my house. No one got out. They parked no more than five minutes. How could they have gotten a complete view of the neighborhood, the adjacent homes, or any visualization of the placement and impact of the project in the brief minutes they were paused on the street?

Strongly oppose this Eversource Project. It is shortsighted, destructive, and an overreaching eyesore to our community.

I am opposed to this Eversource project.

Please continue to fight this project. The environmental impact on Great Bay will be significant.

Please appeal this to the Supreme Court. There are better ways to provide reliability without potential permanent damage to the Bay, our community and health. Eversource did not present other options even though they exist because it was not the best for their profits. We can demand better for our Town and future generations. This should never have been approved in the narrow 100 ft existing low voltage distribution line easements.

Please, stay the course, and appeal. It might be compelling to receive the money Eversource is offering, but this project does not serve Durham's best interest. It will be destructive to both the aesthetics and eco system of our environment. Durham residents pay high taxes to live here in part because they expect a certain quality of life

Eversource is moving in the wrong direction. Given the Northern Pass fiasco, not a surprise. We should be concentrating on renewables and conservation, not this. Given the overpopulation in the seacoast, this is just kicking the can down the road. They'll be back for another bite at the apple in a few years. NO TO THIS IDIOCY!!

We remain strongly opposed to the SRC and urge the Town of Durham to appeal the SEC approval.

Opposed to Eversource project

At the very least, Eversource needs to hire a third party to carry out a thorough environmental impact study before this project should be considered. The seafloor along the proposed route needs to be sampled and contaminants need to be quantified through each sediment layer, down to the deepest possible depth potentially disturbed by the jet-plowing process. There is good reason to believe that historic toxins are currently sequestered in that sediment, and their re-suspension and release into the Great Bay ecosystem could be catastrophic to the health and peaceful enjoyment of the bay by the thousands of surrounding residents, and to the burgeoning aquaculture industry.

Durham residents understood the importance of the environment when they defeated the Onassis oil refinery in 1974. I sincerely hope the Town of Durham once again shows the know how to recognize the importance of fighting the SEC approval.

Please protect the bay's environment and make an appeal of the decision .

As a new resident of Durham, I am totally opposed to the SRP and the irreparable harm it would cause.

I'm vehemently against the Town of Durham settling with Eversource

The decision needs to be appealed.

The environment is already in so much jeopardy. Please Eversource, think of the future and find alternatives.

There are alternative routes for this project with less impact on the environment (Great Bay estuary) and local communities (Newington and Durham). This can still become a win-win if Eversource shows some flexibility.

Don't take the chance of destroying the Bay when there is a better way.
