My name is Shanika Davis. I am working on a homeless project called, The Starting Point. Here in Ruston, La and also other surrounding areas, the homeless are overlooked! In our community I want to be able to help those who are homeless by giving them a temporary place to stay. I know you may be questioning why temporary? Well that's because The Starting Point will not be just your average shelter. Here we want to be able to know who the homeless are in our area and in others as well. The Starting Point will be a new start to their lives. We will be able to get to know and understand why they are homeless and do everything in our power to help them get to where they need to be. We are all human and if we were in their position we would want help and I am going to help them! So please join me by signing this petition to help the homeless in our community.
