This business name is unacceptable. To the owner, I can only feel sorry for her for being so ignorant in choosing a name as such. She must educate herself on the history and use of the word, “squaw” and how unprofessional, racist, and very offensive it is to indigenous people across north America.

I have some friends in publishing who went through this same experience, with a brand name that they had taken from a poem whose author's book they had published. It was eventually deemed offensive and they are in the process of rebranding.
