As a real Ojibway/Metis Native American woman I am not a squaw. Your messaging is racist. Calling out racism gets tiring but there is a lot to be proud of because of 526 of resistance in the face of continued colonization, racism, and white supremacy. Change the name!

Change the name of your business. It’s offensive and racist.

An opportunity to educate rural Texans and the vast majority of non-Native U.S. Indigenous women resisted, resist and will continue the resistance against deeply imbedded colonialism that is alive in our systems, industries and institutions. Proud of these forces.

When given an opportunity to change it translates into a step taken; when taking that step it can mean a life changing event...take that step and become aware of others and the respect they deserve

Why would you name your business after racist and derogatory terminology?

Beyond horrifying and true representation of the Trump era. One where racists and bigots are emboldened by the policies and words of the shrivelled angry yam in office.

It's not that hard to chose a business name without a racial slur.
