Dear owners of this business: Ok, you say you didn't realize how offensive this term was? Fine. Now you do. Do something about it.

It's sad to not be surprised that willfully ignorant and racist people cannot understand how problematic their business name came be.

There are plenty of non-racist things this store could be called.

I was told growing up that the word squaw was extremely demeaning to Native American women. That its original meaning was what we now say is *c--t. If this woman wants to name the store as the literal meaning of the word. Then by all means, let's start calling the store *The Spunky C--t. I don't have a problem with that.

It's 2018 folks! Not 1918. Please think, ask culturally knowledgeble people Before thinking of using another culture's ways inappropriately, & absolutely DON'T flaunt your colonial white privledge when called on it.

There is a difference between ignorance and willful ignorance. The “cute” name you chose for your store is racist, ugly and disrespectful to any indigenous person who knows their history and culture, including my 8 year old daughter. Ignorance is choosing a name without knowing the history and connotation behind that name; willful ignorance is refusing to change it.

Not really like the racist attitudes from this boutique towards our people and would love to see legal action come about with this racism.

Sqaw is a made up white mans term to degrade , rape and steal. Not only are you ignorant and think highly of yourself being above others but you have poor taste. Lil white eyes I suggest or lil christain/baptist (?) from texas is a good name for your shop sweetie! Lil papoose? Good grief lady! As for using the redskin name for an out..... do your homework and then learn history on your own. Not from blonde bimbos! Oh, another great name!! Donchya think? Right up your alley or hood!

Arguing with people On live feed and then making additional racial slurs does not allow you to continue on as a reputable business. Also you imply you are selling authentic Native art, and infringe IPR rights aswell using copyrighted titles and logos. You’re a college undergrad with very little knowledge of business basics. Along with your influencers and social media claim, there’s not much more to do other than change your business title. Do what’s best as encouraged from some of us in the field and as business advisors.
