Every retort and excuse not to change the name (from the owner, mother and representatives) has only proved how racist they are. It's that simple, change the name and apologize.

My great grandmother suffered in Boarding schools for being an indigenous woman - she is neither a prairie nigger nor a squaw. I am the first to earn a Masters Degree in my family. I am neither a gook nor a black face. Taking a derogatory word with explicit hateful meaning and giving it a cute adjective does not make it right, or light fun for financial gain. You no longer stand ignorantly as you now know, it is Hate. Nappy nigger is it’s equal. This is my Truth I Live, every day. Keep the name and keep suffering backlash. Changing your business name, changes your energy and karma. Look what keeping it is doing to you & your legacy. I pray for you and yours as whatever you decide will be your destiny.

It is an offensive, racist and misogynist slur used against Indigenous women. https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/squaw

If countless indigenous women tell you the name of your store is offensive to them, you should LISTEN. As a white eoman, I too find it offensive. Stop being a stubborn idiot and change the racist name of your store. You are in the wrong here.

This is a perfect example of a non-native person believing she has the right to demean for profit - just sad

Every online dictionary I could find notes that "squaw" is an offensive, derogatory, racial slur. It is not a "cute business name." Given the current state of oppression of native peoples, please out of consideration for them change it. There are other things you can call your business that won't demean people.

Disgusting response by you and your ambassadors. I hope your 'business' shuts down and you never make another penny off of slandering indigenous peoples. Disgusting.
