My self and my Native community consider the term pejorative, Webster's Dictionary states the term is offensive, why are you still in denial. CHANGE THE NAME

Absolutely an offensive name for a business. Adams should just admit her name choice was in poor taste; apologize and just rename her store.

The only "trend" being set here is a trend toward obnoxiously defiant racism as a fashion statement. Speaking as a fellow Euro-American, please knock it off. Seriously.

Apparently you need to study your history. Your company name is offensive.

Change your name. "Squaw" is considered an ethnic and sexual slur and has been used by whites for centuries to demean and degrade Native American women. Have some respect for yourself and your "customers", change your name.

This is just ridiculous that she can’t see how any of these terms are derogatory or hurtful. Even it is not to single person, studies have shown that negative connotations of a person’s identity lead to higher suicide rates and other mental health issues in a given population in this case Native Americans.

I'm against any racist person here in the United States especially white people.... all white people need to understand this country was never white to begin with!

Absolutely shameful. Distasteful. Change the name of your store, and reflect upon your poor choices.

This disgusts me. Maybe more because she thought the name was "cute", but clearly has no Native friends or knows any Native people at all. Had she asked more than her "boujie" white friends, she may have found out how racist and offensive this is. Change your name and stop pretending you're not racist.

I am half NA and was brought up with the understanding that “squaw” is a derogatory word closely and loosely meaning the c-word for women. I am all for free speech however this sounds like simply an uninformed woman. Hopefully she is educated on this now and will take appropriate steps to rectify the situation.
