I was shocked the owner of the spunky squaw and her representatives are not educated in the racist word “squaw.” When it was brought to their attention they refused to be open in understanding the harm of this word. I’m also deeply disappointed Instagram holds a low standard for oppressive and racist language used on their social media. Although they say they don’t support hate symbols etc... I don’t think they have the knowledge to identify what is racist language or symbols. It seems Instagram could benefit from from more education and training.
