This name is insensitive and a disgrace to the culture. This might be a shot to change a negative prejudicial word into something positive but for a fashion store that’s not the space to allow that to happen. Changing it is easy, having your store not make any money because of this backlash is different.

The word “squaw” IS derogatory AND offensive. If you’ve never been called a “squaw” as a “joke”, or have seen women you know and love, being labelled as such, then you cannot possibly understand how horrendous this is. If you are not First Nations then please do not assume what is and is not offensive.
