A friend of mine did a very informative breakdown of this word. Over time it became derogatory as it actually means woman.

Sq**w is derogatory. Ms. Lauren would never understand because she is simply not Native American, is using her white privilege to disenfranchise many native voices telling her the word is hurtful and racially inappropriate, and is simply ignoring logic and human rights to make a profit. It has been and always will be a derogatory phrase in 2018 and for all time after.

There is a chance that before this petition happened that the founder(s) of this business didn't know the name is offensive and racist, but now, there is absolutely no chance. You've been given the chance to do better, so please, do better.

I am not native American, but I implore you to consider how the name of your business affects your image. It's no different than using any other degrading and hateful racial slur.
Would you use the "n" word in a business name?

Just no. You can’t be this selfish and clueless in 2018. Hundreds upon hundreds of indigenous activists have explained why this needs to happen. Learn some things. Do better. Sell more stuff with a clean conscience.
