You need to read a book lol if ur not native then leave any native term out of your mouth because you don’t know what they mean, and who are you gonna ask if it’s racist? I’m sure google has no idea what’s racist or not, but the ppl you’re offending do

If you are not of Native American descent and have no Native American in your blood, this is extremely offensive. The fact that so many want to rip off my culture but do nothin to help it or understand it is the problem. Can we please all have a little more respect for each other?

Extremely disappointed that in this day and age, people are still using derogatory words like this. The owner of this shop doesn’t seem to care that she’s using hate speech, despite many people trying to educate her on just how bad it is and exactly why it’s inexcusable.

Really? You are using a term that is derogatory to Indigenous women. I don’t think it’s catchy at all and I will encourage my friends and family NOT to shop there or support you!

The English word Squaw is an ethnic and sexual slur, historically used for Indigenous North American women. Contemporary use of the term, especially by non-Natives, is considered offensive, derogatory, misogynist and racist.

Also her promotion with head dresses, you are not entitled to just wear those for fashion. They have a meaning and only certain people in the culture can wear them...

The fact that you can look up the term and it's defined as offensive and still being used is ridiculous. The fact that Instagram doesn't define it as hate speech is beyond words. On top of that the amount of cultural appropriation is egregious.
