Racial Slur against Native American Indian Women

The word is derogatory, please educate yourself. You have a beautiful line of clothing, but your business name tarnishes the whole line.

I believe this account purposely chooses to keep their name for publicity and no aboriginal women agrees to this as its slander to every women’s name!

Stop exploiting Indigenous people

Squaw is a derogatory name against Native American women. Many if not all natives women have at some point been called squaw as a racial slur. This isn’t native against white, Or sensitive against insensitive. This is about basic humanity and respect. If you had a friend, who had a nickname they didn’t like and considered offensive and they told you they didn’t like their nickname. Would you still use that nickname ? Or would you respect what what they said ? That’s all that’s being requested, basic respect for our opinion and real life experiences.

Change the damn name! These colonial ways needs to change!!!

I grew up being called a “squaw” by non indigenous boys and girls. It’s hurtful, it’s traumatic to be degraded with the word because of your race, and it should not be used by anybody anymore.

This *should* be a no brainer....

Just because something isn’t personally offensive, doesn’t make it any less of a slur. The second she learned the word was offensive she should have done the right thing and changed the name. Her claiming she is being bullied when she’s the one using a derogatory term is truly appalling.

This shouldn’t be aloud in 2018. Racism isn’t something you should profit off of!

The shop name is offensive and needs to be taken down and changed.
