Just change your name it’s ok to be uneducated about the meaning but that that you’ve been informed change it.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows the S word is a racist, sexist slur & about #MMIW, #NoMoreStolenSisters etc, the sacredness of headdresses yet the rapes of college students wearing them, the consequences to Native people bc of the commercial & personal sexualization of Native women, the bullying of kids bc of mascots, bc it's impossible to avoid seeing multiple articles online, nearly daily. Those who insist it is innocent or cute, though they very well know better, are likely to find their business doesn't thrive & grow. At best. When you mock an entire race of people, ignore how your actions affect them, you aren't being a very good character reference for yourself. I stumbled across this name & I'm baffled. I don't get why a woman, or anyone, would use an age old excuse to rape & murder other women as a business name? Please change it. If you have zero empathy, at least have some business sense! Thank you for your time.

It’s not about you, Brooke. When you tell someone how you are experiencing something, and if your experience is painful, do you want to be listened to, taken seriously, and held in love, or do you want to be given dictionary definitions (written by people who have none of your history or experience), denied, condescended to, and have your pain usurped by their fragility and self-centered reaction? This is an opportunity for you; time to stop talking and listen.

In these times we find ourselves living in it is imperative that we reassess words and their meaning, especially in the context of cultural appropriation and systemic racism. Please do not continue to use this derogatory term that is hurtful and dangerous to so many indigenous people. It is a simple change. What do you have to gain by digging in?

This is a racial slur against myself and of the indigenous population of females

Please understand that squaw is a racial slur that greatly effects native women. To use that name is like spitting in the face of indigenous people who’s culture we as a nation have erased.

Shameful. The ignorance is astounding here. Another white woman accusing women of color of being aggressive - very original. Swallow your pride, accept that you are in fact wrong, and stop trying to educate people on their OWN culture.

Surely you can find a name that is not an insult to an entire group of people. I have faith in you being more compassionate and creative than the current name suggests you to be.

I stand with my people. Change the name and stop appropriating cultures just because you don’t feel the need to acknowledge indigenous people in a good way.
