The reason for naming and profiting from your your sales platform “squaw” and indigenous-inspired product pales in comparison to the historical and cultural gravitas accompanying the name. The respectful response is to acknowledge your insensitivity, set an example of reconciliation and apology, and do better once you know better.

Stop! Just stop, and think about the ignoranance your showing about your true nature. Who does this?

Unbelievably racist, offensive, demeaning & filthy word, being used in a store name in 2018, truly blows my mind at the ignorance and southern white entitlement. I am married into a proud First Nations Indigenous family, and I can tell you that if I ever dared to call my beautiful wife or my amazing Mother-In-Law a sq*aw, I'd get knocked the f*ck out...and rightfully so! This joke of a store using the image of a WHITE WOMAN wearing a Headdress is sickening. What a shameful mockery of what those feathers represent to those who have rightfully EARNED them. Brooke Loren Adams is selling fake Native goods, cheap reproductions, listing them as "Navajo Jewelry", with hashtags such as #buyauthentic. ILLEGAL. I'm also certain that the numerous music/band related Tshirts she is selling (which she admits are "custom made" by her), are not endorsed or approved by Aerosmith, KISS, Pink Floyd or Willie Nelson! COUNTERFEIT bootleg music merchandise will definitely get your ass sued or thrown in jail...I am in the music business, I know what I'm talking about. I am contacting all these bands/musicians' management and legal teams. They will be very interested in Miss Brooke Loren Adams. All she had to do was be a real human being and change the store name and cease selling culturally appropriated goods. Bad call, Brooke, better get that lawyer of yours on private retainer!

Having a slur in your business name is disgusting. Talking over the group of people that slur is directed at and telling them how to feel about it is even worse.

I would like to see her change the name of her company, because it is a derogatory statement towards all of the Native women,

Shame on you for being so stubborn and entitled. Do the right thing. Change the name, apologize, and make restitution to all Native American woman. Perhaps by donating to the cause of Missing Murdered Indigenous Women. Using the word squaw contributes to dehumanizations and to murder. You are now complicit.
