The spice petition. Stop speeding on hasting road

Sorry for your loss. I would love more than anything for there to be more speed bumps, cameras etc on certain roads and for it to be illegal not to stop when hitting a cat. Honestly, in my opinion, I don't think anything will get done about it but I will sign as a cat lover and having experienced this same thing one too many times! RIP Spice x

Speeding should not be tolerated on any road apart from motorways & then speed limit be adhered to. Its bad enough losing a beloved pet , I have 3 cats & live on Causeway , I won't let them out until late evening , thankfully they don't stray from back garden, but It could be a child next .

Absolutely no need to speed in these areas. We have the same problem. If we can't tell these idiots to slow down we have to force the issue.

speed limits are there for a reason, obey them!!!

Traffic calming initiative needed in this area. Bad enough losing family pets, but it shouldn't get to the point that a child gets injured or worse for action to happen.

Something needs to be done about this road and the way people speed along it.

Something needs to be done I'm sick of the idiots using the place as a drag strip its twenty well ment to be but a lot think it's ok for double that speed or more in a lot of cases higher speed bumps chicanes a lot needs to be sorted maybe even more patrol in area from traffic units its only a matter of time before a young child adult or elderly gets really hurt especially if the idiots driving has no attention to road and driving double the speed who ever is involved will not escape without harm and unfortunately three of our cats got ran over by speeding car didn't stop because they are obviously dragged up not raised sorry to say but how can you not stop and two of our three cats we have had to lose in the past month and were our family not just cats my family we have hearts and care for animals as our family unlike these people who left them for dead didn't give them a chance it stops before its a person who is involved next that's all I can say

It's supposed to be a 20 zone. A camera would help. It is just a matter of time a child gets hurt.

Best of luck, we lost our cat on Wednesday, and the driver didn't stop then either! When did people become so heartless? Slow down!!!

I loved Spice with all my heart I could never see a life with her, she would tuck me in bed every night, I watched her being born in my wardrobe on April 16th 2010 and for the first 6 months of her life she didn't leave my room too scared to go into the outside world. I wish I had never taught her to go out otherwise my beautiful princess would be here now :'( this road has taken 2 of my cats in less than a month now I have one and I'm petrified to let him out I can't loose him too
