Hey guys this is really to just see how many people would be up to help get The Silmarillion to a bigger audience so more people will know about how simply amazing this book especially is! One way to do this would be for a Silmarillion movie to be made whether by Peter Jackson (any director really) or fan-made, if it were we'd hope for it to be as close to canon as possible to really do Tolkien proud! Also this is about seeing if The Tolkien Estate would be happy to even see a bit of progress for The Silmarillion to be read and known about more and if they would be more lenient if possible towards fan-made stuff!
Basically to just make The Silmarillion more accessible to a wider audience because we think so many people would benefit for knowing about Tolkiens lifelong book! Films are the easiest way to make things like this more well known but to just get The Tolkien Estate to let more fan-made none-profit stuff happen would be great in itself.
This isn't just for a single movie it could be for many or even a tv series it's just really to see how many would like to see it something like a film etc if it were to be made!
A few things in one really to see if we can help get The Silmarillion to more public place like LOTR or TH so more people can enjoy it, see if there's any real interest in a Silmarillion movie being made (not actually making one) and to see if The Tolkien Estate are even slightly interested in it and fan-made things to help get more reach to Tolkien! The current momentum confirms a clear interest in bringing these stories to a wider audience. I am drafting a formal letter to the Tolkien Estate representatives to initiate a discussion regarding the expansion of creative permissions for fan projects.

It would be great to see The Silmarillion adapted on screen, whether through a series of films or a HBO, Game of Thrones-style mega series. Keep up the great work.
I would LOOOOOVE to see more Tolkien content! The Silmarillion has so much rich history in it and I wish content from it could be made. The Hobbit and LotR pale in comparison to the rich stories still to be told.
I just need more Tolkien stuff tbh and it's kinda hard to find The Silmarillion in local bookstores, the only bookstore that has them are the ones dedicated for imported books and it's very expensive there :")
I think a film adaptation will really help to make the Silmarillion more accessible to a wider range of people and get them interested in reading some of Tolkien's less well-known works too
Tolkiens work has always been a part of my life and even though the books will always be there to read, it still feels as though not making a film for the Silmarillion, or at least some of the stories, would be an injustice. People say it's unfilmable but they said that about the Lord Of The Rings and now it's a well loved classic fantasy film. It would bring it to the masses and get Tolkiens brilliant work the attention it so definatley deserves. So please consider it, Middle Earth deserves more films and to be loved by many fans worldwide.
dear fans of this petition even if it were to be in a movie or TV series who would direct it outside of PJ I last emailed the Tolkien lawyers estate and they gave me a warning I am open to this idea of doing a film or series in Tolkien's way but tolkien estate only comes into effect 70 years after the author's death but i'm open to it Greetings Gilles Dupont

This is a great idea! I'm not all the way through the silmarillion, I've been working on it for over a year but I love it and it would be great for it to get the recognition it deserves for the beauty of the story
