We are calling for Aston Villa Football Club to rename The North Stand ‘The Ron Saunders Stand’ in honour of the great man. Now we have confirmation that the rebuilding of the stand is going to happen. Aswell as a statue outside to match the McGregor one. UTV

The Holte should always remain as The Holte End, with the witton Lane secured and rightly so as The Doug Ellis, the North stand should be the Ron Saunders stand and I believe the Trinity Road should be the Charlie Aitkin stand

As one privileged to have been a season ticket holder throughout the gaffers reign, nothing could be more fitting as an acknowledgement of the great mans achievements

Met the great man whilst working at Villa Park in match day boardroom serving Doug Ellis & director’s prior to the match. Was a great honour & have framed 1981 Villa home shirt signed by the great man & best manager Villa have ever had to date.

We need especially younger fans around the country to question why it’s called the Ron Saunders stand. Then when they google it they’ll know that “we even conquered Europe!”

It's a disgrace that such a legendary figure in our club has nothing, whilst Ellis who helped hound him out and presided over the clubs demise from a top team with his cornershop mentality had the hubris to name a stand after himself.

No single manager, has given me so much pleasure in those glory years. 50 years a fan and would be a fitting gesture. Has to be the North Stand when the redevelopment takes place. Why stop there, let’s get a statue up too, by the entrance of it.
