This Petition is here in an attempt to change the laws on drivers licencing, Prior to Canada being a Civil Law country we were a Common Law country meaning we basically operated under our human rights, one of those basic rights is The Right To Travel.

The Right to Travel is a right we all have traveling consists of moving from point A to point B, Doing so does not require any licence so when we get in our vehicle and go to the store how is it any different then hopping on our bicycle and going to the store? There is no difference except the speed in which we are traveling to our destination. Where our licence comes from is when a person needs to operate a vehicle under commerce, so you are making money by operating the motor vehicle and this requires a licence to protect the company.

The Pros of being in a country where a Drivers Licence is only needed when operating a vehicle for work is as follows:

1: No more need for insurance, No this doesn't put people at risk but im not asking to get rid of insurance completely just to change the law where it is mandatory to have insurance on a vehicle instead we should be able to have personal insurance where our insurance covers us and our personal belongings. This will decrease the price of insurance and you can now afford more coverage for a smaller fee, it will also decrease the amount of people getting charged with driving with out insurance because people can actually afford insurance.

2: No more need for Government Registration, we can still register our vehicles under a personal object so if you get pulled over the police officers no longer have a right to take your vehicle away from you they can still tow it and charge you for the tow but the tow goes to a destination of you

A few Countries already have this type of system in place including the U.S.A. as it is not fully known yet but it is in fact in place where if you are not operating under commerce you are legally allowed to drive with no licence.

So please sign this our Government is getting out of hand pretty soon we wont be able to ride a bicycle with out a licence insurance and registration its time for us to put our foot down.
