Just plain out disgraceful that the players who were granted the privilage to represnt this state and the university along with their coach to act like this. We fire a great football coach for moral ethics where is the common ground for Jimmy Dykes? Players who don't demonstrate proper conduct on the football team are removed and suspended the same actions need to be acted out for these disrespectful players. You want good recruiting to compete stand on good ethics and for what is right and you will be rewarded.

Really? What about the military that gave you those freedoms. Makes me sick to my stomach.... not only that it was done by these athletes in Arkansas but the coach doesn't have the nerve to stand against it!!!!

If you feel so strongly about the "rights" these ladies chose to express during the National Anthem then at least have enough spine to put your name on your comment.

As a daughter of a disabled vet and granddaughter of another veteran this breaks my heart. That flag represents sacrifice, lives lost, freedom, and honor. We need to respect what it stands for. These students and this coach allowed this and looks very planned. We don't need this bad press. We need to support our country and honor those who gave everything so we could be free. When we didn't stand at attention and respect this flag growing up, our parents/school officials gave us consequences. This was rude and in very bad test for our university and the state!!!

Disgusting and distasteful actions that were allowed by this sorry excuse of a leader. He needs to step down since he's not able to step up to the plate and be a man.

Everyone on this comment list is the reason why people look down on the state of Arkansas...YOU are the ones that should be ashamed of yourselves. I don't know what you think Jimmy Dykes should have done, but more than anything he should be respected for standing by his players' right to do what they did. The same rights that were afforded to them by soldiers. The response to this has been ownright embarrassing...way more embarrassing than whatever you think those players did. Sadly, no positive progress will change in this country until this mentality dies off.

I am saddened Jeff Long would bow to political correctness and allow students to display such disrespect while representing the University.
