Mr. Polonis's statements about LGBTQ people are hateful. There's really no other way to describe them. I have friends and loved ones here at the Lake who are LGBTQ. It is impossible for Mr. Polonis to hold his views and represent the best interests of LGBTQ people (or anyone who cares about LGBTQ people) within our community. He therefore needs to be removed from the LMOA board of directors.

I expect our association board to represent a diversity of views while at the same time, I expect that each of the directors respect those differing views and respect the members of our community. Don Polonis has not been respectful in his social media presence of members of our community.

limited to, blogs, wikis, microblogs, message boards, chat rooms, electronic newsletters, online

If I was looking into buying property here and heard about such inexcusable homophobic behavior of a Board member, I imagine I would seriously reconsider.
