The reddit community calls for Ellen Pao to step down as Reddit's interim CEO.
Ellen Pao is Reddit's interim CEO. Holding any senior-level position in Reddit comes with the responsibility to support those who work hard to enable an open and organized Reddit Community.
Pao has previously demonstrated that her idea of 'open' does not align with Reddit's idea of 'open'. More recently, Pao has shown that decisions made under her watch will lead to Reddit facing large community blackouts.
Reddit's strong community is the glue that keeps it together right now, and strong leadership supporting that community is what makes Reddit great. Reddit cannot be great with Ellen Pao as CEO. We call for her immediate resignation.

Ellen Pao is trying to censor content behind the company that has fought so valiantly for freedom of speech and expression on the internet, she needs to go.
This was an unacceptably nearly fatal move for Reddit, in what looks like a petty attempt at driving revenue up by driving quality down and replacing it with indignant commercialization. Pao should have been the one relieved of position, as this move was entirely out of touch and completely counter to goals and direction of Reddit.
Make a good product, listen to your userbase, invest in their ideas and the money will come. Treat them like garbage, piss them off, berate them, insult them,and you'll crash and burn. Out with Pao!
I'm sick of the way reddit is being run, and ready to move to voat, but I still love the site and don't want it to die. I think Ellen Pao needs to realize that the way she has been running the site is disrespectful to the reddit community as a whole. Sign for the resign!!!

This isn't mob mentality. So don't go into your corner and try to tell yourself that. Just because you have the legal rights to Reddit as a site, does not mean you own the community. Good day.
