Like Stalins purge in 37 - which left the Red Army severly weakened, according to some historians up to '42. This purge of Turkeys academic institutions is likely to leave a scar. The example of the Soviet Union's purge of intellectuals in 37 is by no means intended to draw a line between Stalin and Erdogan, but it is wholly undemocratic and militant to initiate a purge of other institutions in the case of an attempted military coup.

I am greatly concerned about Turkey's transformation into a dictatorship! The actions taken have nothing to do with fighting a failed military take-over.
