Academic freedom has long been a pillar of democracy. Erdogan has often shown his contempt for democracy, but the recent purge of judges, academics etc. in favor of a loyalist regime sets a precedent for autocracy and tyranny. I pray this ends. The people of Turkey are in great danger.
