This petition is a consolidated effort among existing members of the Players Club and Spa to organize and present concerns of affected homeowners in Lely Resort with regard to the operation, management, and fee structure of The Players Club and Spa, owned by Stock Construction. The intent is to present it to Stock Construction, requesting changes and considerations accordingly.

1. Membership in The Players Club and Spa is mandatory to many homeowners in Lely Resort. While this was agreed to in many of the original documents before the Club was constructed, the end result is not what many expected.

2. Annual fees to maintain mandatory membership have grown every year since opening the Club, well in excess of economic inflation.

3. There is nothing to assure annual fees won't continue to grow beyond our ability to pay them, resulting in liens against properties.

4. Club services have not kept pace with the escalating costs. Off season services and activities are scaled back and parts of the Club even closed, in order to minimize operational expenses and maximize profits.

5. There seems to be lack of cost reduction mentality to reduce costs without impacting the current level of service.

6. The employees now being used seem to be transplants and not hired locally. With the required gratuity, it is not necessary to put people on contracts from other regions of the world.

7. The facility should be separated into different levels of membership and the fees follow those options. Suggest basic membership, pool use only. Second, Pool and Workout. Third, Tennis. The Tennis refurbishment, addition of expensive Tennis Pros, etc. is not necessary for most members.

8. Dinners, programs etc., should be up and above the required dues and should not be held unless the expenses are covered by the event.
