I have scoured the internet for two days, and I cannot find any negative effects of desalination. This is definitely our best course of action if we want to avoid California's present state of water.

Man, Long Island needs drinking water really badly! I never knew how bad the situation was and I've lived here for two decades! It'll be hard water rationing. It's like we'd be in the desert, the Southwestern United States.
