I want to make sure that 1) the police don’t get the opportunity to raid my home without properly identifying themselves and granting my permission to enter my home and 2) we have internal review processes that take a detailed approach at officer protocols in a traffic stop or when arresting a person of color (Black or Mexican specifically). We deserve to at least plead our case. We need change.

CPD has been horrendous in their treatment of peaceful protestors. i witnessed police chasing protestors trying to get to their car and spraying them with pepper spray. i witnessed tear gas and wooden and rubber bullets used on PEACEFUL protestors. this has to change. the people of columbus do not stand with the senseless violence and brutality committed by CPD during these protests, and we do not stand by Trump or Pence encouraging the use of violence by the police force and national guard.

BLACK LIVES MATTER. I will never completely understand because of my privilege but I will use that to fight for what is right!

I am a citizen of the City of Columbus and have been at multiple protests in the Downtown area. The injustice must end.
