Choice of competitors in an open market allows consumers to save money and have access to better services. This is not true for people who live in Cochrane Ontario in regards to INTERNET, DIGITAL CABLE and TELEPHONE SERVICES. The Town of Cochrane has a strangled hold on these services and FORBIDS competitors to provide services here. For the people of Cochrane that means we have to live with inferior Internet, no choice of Digital Cable (other than Satellite) and home telephone services. Cochrane's strangle hold on these vital services means we can't bundle which equals NO SAVINGS for consumers. Tell the Mayor and the Town of Cochrane NO MORE! We demand immediate suspension of these restrictions on outside competition on INTERNET, DIGITAL CABLE and TELEPHONE SERVICES. The People of Cochrane want CHOICE and Savings! SIGN THIS PETITION AND HAVE YOUR SAY!
Once I get enough signatures, I will present them to the Town in an open council meeting. I have asked Mayor Peter POLITIS for a response a few weeks ago to questions why this practise exists in Cochrane and he has failed or refused to respond.
