The board finally agreed to freeze tuition for the coming year. It has been a long and draining fight but I am relieved we were able to hold them accountable. We need to stay vigilant to ensure these budgetary adjustments stay off the table for good.

Over the past years, the ACS Board of Trustees has been making the decision to increase the tuition on a yearly basis to keep up with the rising operational costs and inflation.
We , as parents , are committed to giving our children an opportunity for a quality education that will set them on a path to a successful future .We also chose ACS due to its high academic standards and its commitment to a well-rounded approach to education.
As the school board is making decisions for the coming school year, we would like to ask them to be mindful of the fact that parents are also burdened by the stagnant economic growth which has affected our businesses and our livelihoods. Not to mention the increase in taxes and the exponential increase in the cost of living.
Through signing this petition, we respectfully ask the Board of Trustees at ACS to utilize creativity in dealing with this prevailing situation, and to think of ways besides tuition increases to budget and plan for the coming scholastic year 2020/2021 and beyond. A consistent annual increase is unsustainable especially for those with multiple children attending your school.

Reaching this level of support confirms that I am not the only one feeling the weight of these financial pressures. It has been a long and draining road but seeing this many families echo these concerns gives me the strength to keep pushing forward.

Also , we hope that the Board of Trustees would hold a session with parents to listen to our many concerns
Fees are oncreasing annually since we joined three years ago. No comparable value for it.
Any increase in tuition will be a big burden on families with more than one student attending the school.
It’s becoming too much. Every year they are increasing and we are continuing to pay for many of the supplies
ACS is not just our school .. but our home and family too .... I hope we can come together as a community and help each other out during these difficult times ../
The increase in tuition does not match the rate of inflation in jordan.

Other private schools have confirmed no tuition increases. Maybe the school should start looking inwards and start making significant savings on expenditures rather than making parents pay more.
