Students are the next generation of leaders, doctors, politicians, advocates, teachers, scientists, decision makers and so much more. In order to prepare our youth for this great responsibility, it is essential to be adequately prepared and that students engage in opportunities that allow them to explore the power of their voices and learn how to utilize tools that mobilize other like-minded supporters to bring.

While the number of student advocates initiating change for a greater good is growing daily, especially with the help of social media, there are still many students who have yet to realize the powerful potential that exists within them to make a positive difference within their community, their state, their country, and our world.

Change begins with the voice of one who challenges an idea, a law, a practice/method. JUST ONE VOICE. When this one voice speaks out, the message travels to find others who believe in that same change and their add their voices, turning one voice into many--and it’s hard to ignore the voices of many!

When we seek to make changes, we need to rally supporters behind a convincing message that will persuade those in authority to set these changes in motion. We mobilize an “army of advocates” with an objective to conquer for the greater good.

The “Your Voice Matters-- ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’--Gandhi” project is far more than simply a class assignment. It is an opportunity to exercise your voice, to explore and practice the process of initiating change. This project is an actual real-life LIVE project!
