NHS England had carried out a needs assessment where they found that the dental decay rates in Hillingdon are amongst the worst in London and there has been a high demand for NHS Dental Services in the Harefield area since the previous provider vacated the premises at 14A Northwood Road, Harefield in March/April 2011.
NHS England would like to open a NHS Dental practice in Harefield. We had located a suitable site at 12A Northwood Road and applied for change of use (residential to Dental) in September 2015. We have had to overcome various hurdles, mainly around the parking provision which we have addressed in our application.
We can assure you that we are working very closely with NHS England an have the communities interest at the core of our NHS practice. We have been informed that there has been a recent petition by approx 20 people (many of which are within the same households) to object to the opening of an NHS Dental Practice on Northwood Road. Our desired outcome of this petition is to approve the change of use to accommodate the an NHS Dental Practice on Northwood Road.
We need as many people as possible to sign this petition to show that this location is suited for an NHS Dentist and that this service is needed for the local community!

I support this petition to open the NHS DENTAL at Harefield because will be easy access like me who have disabilitiy I can't travel long distance because of my medical condition so I support this petition
An NHS dentist is definitely something that the families of Harefield need. We have two private dentists in the village (which are absolutely not required) but no NHS dentist since the closure of the one we have many years ago.
We really need our own NHS dentist in the village, I do not see how this is going to cause any parking problems for the residents living nearby, most of us would use the local car park in the village as we already do when we need to go to the flower shop or the post office,
NHS dentist in Harefield is so needed. I have to go to Eastcote and with a disabled son and work the extra time this takes is a real nuisance
It's about time we had a nhs dentist instead of private ones. It would mean no more bus journeyd into Denham and pot luck wether or not the 331 runs or not. I do hope if they do get one approved it'll have a Saturday morning surgery which would be more than helpful .
Harefield perhaps needs a dental clinic but not in the residential areas. They should look more into commercial areas i.e the high street.
Harefield needs an NHS dentist. It is too far to go elsewhere.

I believe the allocation they have chosen is inappropriate. This will affect near residents to a quite and family life which I believe we are entitled too. They should move to a more commercial area of Harefield and everyone will be happy.
