An absolute addictive series. I was like I lost something after watching the last part of season 3. It was tried to end the storey in season 3: d'Artagnan became the captain of musketeers, Porthos became a general, Aramis became the first minister and Athos sought a private life. But believe me after many years and when they are all over 40 and in their middle age, when Louis XIV of France sat on Throne, when Raoul son of Athos is grown up, when Louis's twin brother wants to sit on throne and so many other whens, more seasons can be created and the musketeers unite again.

This is one the greatest shows I have seen in years. I love that BBC remembered what real television is with this series and others.

I confess I am addicted to this brilliantly made series and would love a follow up series. i have watched the DVD's 3 times now and see more and more each time - such talented acting, screen writing, set constructions - as good as Poldark and feel sure the BBC would not regret it.

Whilst they way the producers left The Musketeers, there is little potential in the storyline for a season 4, there is alway the possibility to make it into a final grand film like the series Firefly!
