My goal is to promote awareness about the need for a longer paid parental leave for new moms and dads to take care of their newborn child. The US is the ONLY developed country in the WORLD that does not guarantee paid time off. Many parents struggle to support themselves while raising their infant, and they start blaming themselves for their inability to raise a family. If a policy for longer paid leave for these moms and dads was put in place, it would prevent fear for parents, and give them time to take care of their family without having to worry about their economic security.
