Hello Black Desert Online community! The issue I'm about to address isn't some game breaking mechanic. Of course, there are a lot of those present that are already being worked on, but there is another problem in the game that I feel hasn't been given the right attention.

Of course by this, I'm talking about the cosmetic situation.

The Problem

Let's face it. We are all peasants on Black Desert Online unless we spend a good $30.00 on an outfit in the cash shop. Even then, there still isn't that much variety. Wouldn't you like to go walking around in some new clothes? Maybe just something to put overtop your armor? Just anything to make you look decent.. Because right now with the way things are, if you don't want to spend the money to do this, then you're screwed! You can only get other kinds of armor to make yourself look different. I know this isn't just a problem with me. Lots of people think it's cool to actually look like the peasant for once in a game like this, but for those of us who DON'T, then we should have an option to strut our stuff!

The Solution

I think the best way to fix this is to of course, add more costumes in the cash shop. I know some of the clothing found in there at this point in time is as expensive as it is because they come with all these EXP buffs. But make some costumes NOT give you the buffs. I think that the costumes being PURELY cosmetic won't hurt people. It would make people very happy that they could finally add some diversity to their character.

Now some new problems arise from this. The answers could be simple, or they could be difficult to solved. It really depends on the person answering and what they think. Here is what I think.

1.How will they keep getting new inspiration for costumes?

-There could be many answers for this one in my opinion. The creative part of the crew could step up their quotas and just add new things that they think people would like, or people could suggest things, or make drawings. I'll expand on this in a bit.

2. How will they get their money?

-Many people would be more willing to buy costumes if they were cheaper. Each costume or weapon costume could bring in tons of money, because people have alternate accounts, Multiple characters. What more needs to be said? Would you feel more inclined to buy multiple costumes if they costed less? I know I would. And a lot of our Role Players in the community would probably do it as well.

3.How will the COMMUNITY be involved?

-This is where I will expand on my idea. There could be a monthly contest held to see which person can make the best skin, and they could create it in drawing form, or in photoshop, or whatever they wish. The winner of that contest has the privilege of having their idea implemented into the game, and given to them for free. It could be a fun little way to add more costumes, but this would not be the main way that developers get new ideas for their game. This could be just a bit of help.

Further Information

This petition could be edited in the future to what everybody else thinks they would like to see added. This is a petition FOR the players, BY the players.
