I agree. We all need to make sacrifices but it has to be a 2-way street. It was already announced that all businesses will get rebates in the form of rents, employee wages, tax etc, the Centre should give some discounts. After all , the classes are one of the most expensive at more than $100 per class, we expect more than just dishing out worksheets and having discussion forums.

Please reduce online tuition fee

Even with Zoom, Webex or Skype, it is still not worth it to pay so much for online lessons. All tuition centres should reduce the fee by at least 50%. Parents need to provide support and pay for additional electricity bill for e-learning at home.

We should do up a complaint at CASE and see how they reply. For me I will not sign up for learning lab anymore. Full Refunds!

Learning lab sucks. My girl can't even sign in for the class and the teacher didn't response even after class!

To be fair, the I have seen several enrichment centres’ online teaching platform and by far learning lab is the worst. I managed to talk to a customer service guy today and he told me that TLL360 has an outstanding platform called blackbox from their vendors. I attended one session with my Son on their TLL360. We literally have to refresh the discussion forum every 3 mins to see responses from the teacher. The teacher was simply typing the questions out on the paper and asking all to give their answers. I had to explain to my Son how the teacher derived to the answer etc.

Shld just postpone all lessons until this blows over. Feel so forced. My friend's boy in Mindstretcher also same.

The distance learning platform is totally not effective. Images can’t be displayed and my son’s questions were all not answered. Absolutely not worth the money that we pay to TLL

Dear Manager-in-Charge, I have 2 girls in TLL in primary levels. It is astonishing to find out TLL’s online classes are just a forum for students to post their questions. And imagine our kids trying to find out the whereabout of characters on the keyboard for that one hour. This online classes are not totally non-productive and I do not see how it can help in enhancing our kids’ learning. It is also absurd for TLL to charge center-based tuition fee for such lousy online class. I would appeal for TLL to allow the transfer of all paid-up school fee to the time when classes are resumed after our government’s stand down instruction. I will be looking forward to your reply. Thanks and best regards

Pls reduce the fee further given that it is not live streaming and kids cannot participate at all through talking. Talking and communication is important especially for English classes. The refund should be done immediately and not use as credit next time.

United Sq learning lab really sucks

My kid has enrolled in all subjects at learning lab. Not only did they rearrange the time of class to a different time, all the Teachers used different forms of teaching ranging from a message board aka discussion forum to Facebook to zoom and classdo. Worse still, a few decide to split the classes to several days and they expect parents to follow through those timings eg one lesson stretches over 4 days each 30 mins. I can get a more comprehensive online learning app at a fraction cost of one lesson.

The online study timing is different from the classroom base teaching lesson time which is inconvenient to parents. The quality of online discussions forum teaching method doesn’t work for primary school students.

Apart from the above the online learning is at a different time slot from the children’s usual assigned classes , some during office hours !

Pls give us something better than just a discount for the next term. Thank you.

Each lesson cost more than S$100, to simply replace it with online "discussion" is not fair for parents who paid them with their hard-earned money

Hi TLL, I suggest you use a better learning tool like the one below: https://learncool.sg App promo video here: https://youtu.be/JjdVTdnkRSI

The way of so call “online tuition” via the TLL platform is not very engaging and efficient. I feel it’s better if TLL should postpone the lessons and refund until the situation gets better or after getting agreement from Parents on the next step.
