The Khator Promenade & the Ferttita Quad on the University of Houston Campus
Imagine the heart of the University of Houston campus linked by a flowering vine-covered walkway, a rectangular path that physically ties the campus together from the College of Architecture and Design on the east to student housing on the west. Then, envision a leafy gallery lining the abandoned central street. Both elements combine to provide a perfect quad, a visible signature of every great university. With a pattern of haphazard growth over the decades the UH campus has emerged lacking a physical Coherent unity. This proposed conceptual design develops in two phases the first saluting President Renu Khator and the second a nod to UH Board of Trustees chairman Tilman Fertitta, a lasting thank you for their contributions to the university.
