Clean air and accessibility to all students should not be up for discussion. Greenwich Public schools are known for their great schools, let's see it, and vote this money in BET. This school serves an incredible community of students. They are more than deserving of these humane upgrades.

I taught at Julian Curtiss for 20 years. It is a wonderful community school which has been in need of renovation for years. Please do not ignore the needs of this community.

J.C. was my teaching home for 35 years. I chose to have my son attend kindergarten and first grade at J.C. prior to our move up the line. The Julian Curtiss School has been a mainstay in central Greenwich and home to a diverse, multicultural student population. The children and the staff deserve to learn and work in an environment that enhances their educational experience. J.C. deserves to become ADA compliant, have a modern HVAC system to provide clean,, fresh Air, and have state of the art technologies that truly befit a 21st century (and beyond!) school model. Look to the future, BET, and approve the plan to improve Julian Curtiss School.

JC has been a huge part of my life-- I taught there for 44 yrs. and loved the students and their families. And, I wondered every single year why JC was never updated. The fact that there is no handicapped access to the second floor is shameful. The lack of adequate ventilation was a major concern for staff-- some working in poorly ventilated closet spaces repurposed into offices or mini classrooms. This beautiful but neglected "old lady" of a school building deserves a major "spa day"-- indeed an entire makeover!

I was the music teacher at JC from 1983 - 2018. Both my son and daughter attended Julian Curtiss. My husband David was the band teacher there until he retired in 2018. JC was where I spent most of my adult life. I love the school ,the community and the rich history of that building. Please do the right thing for the children, staff and community and save this historic school by funding the necessary renovation.

This is long overdue.
