We have had a lot of trauma and it is such an unforgettable loss for us. The problem of putting up this statue has brought back a lot of pain and trauma regarding the loss of these two lives, we have not been able to forget it but we have tried to move on. However, now this statue issue has reminded us of all the pain and trauma we have incurred over the years. We cannot bring back the lives that were lost because of this Principle. These two boys were such a blessing to our community, our families and were loved by so many of the students and teachers in the school as well as so many people in our town. Their funerals were a testament to that. By putting up this statue now will be dishonouring their deaths and our family trauma and will be bringing this pain up again for us all.

When the incident happened we were small and didn't know any better. Upon recollection of the events that transpired, hearing the news of the sculpture of a man who caused me and my alumni strife only wants me to speak out for action.
