The Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame candidacy for Joe Bello moves forward.
I have two very specific requests to make of you.
1. Athletic Experience: I ask all of you who knew of Joe on the athletic field to sign this petition in support of Joe's candidacy and submit it as soon as possible. It is recommended you provide a comment to show your experience with Joe.
2. Character - Personal Experience: As most of you know, Joe touched many lives outside of football, as well. I welcome and encourage all of those who knew Joe outside of Football and can speak to his outstanding character to sign, as well.

Joe was a hard noised FB at Delaware Valley College, he was the lead blocker for Jim Wilson for 3 season, 1984-86, At the time, Jimmy became the Aggies' all-time leading rusher with 2,634 yards.) Joe was an outstanding player and person.....
I had the honor to be Joe's teammate at AKHS as well as DVC. Joe was a tenacious competitor and leader on the field. Joe pushed everyone to be better on and off the field. Joe has earned a spot in the HOF.
I recently watched video of a great game between Plymouth-Whitemarsh and Archbishop Kennedy. Among many great plays and players, Joe Bello's name was frequently mentioned for his blocking, tenacious running and tough tackling. I support his candidacy. Dan Sheedy AKHS '72
Joe Was an outstanding player, a true team leader and a heck of a competitor. I played against Joe in HS and I highly recommend him for election in to the Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame.
Joe's actions on and off the field truly showed what "Saint's Pride" meant!! I was only 11 years old when I watched him play and I knew then that I wanted to be like Joe when I played.
Awesome guy miss him good football player
Watched many of his football games his senior year. Exceptional season! As a friend, always a lot of laughs, one of the most fun guys to be around!

Joe was the glue that held everyone together on and off the field. If you had a problem Joe would fix it, he always knew what to do and say to make things better. and that smile ......made you smile:) This is all yours Joe.
