The human rights condition in Europe
The conclusion seems surprising and thus is even more serious. In the opinion of many people the geographic area is an ancient hotbed of culture and civilization with a tradition of public order and respect for the laws.
No need to be a specialist in legal science or sociology but it is necessary to have an open mind or to have a problem to realize the dramatic situation in which is the respect of human rights in Europe.
If you go to an authority with a complaint which they do not agree then you are given a bigoted kindly explain that you have not addressed to the competent body and you are directed elsewhere feeding your hope that you will find there measures for your case. This is the first phase.
The good thing is that in such a situation get few people because most do not know their rights, in addition, even the connoisseurs manifest an extreme obedience toward the authorities.
If your situation is serious and you have to persevere to resolve your case then after receiving the complaint then occurs the second phase that of circumvention of response by invoking non-compliance with legal procedures for petitioning, by unfair conclusions on the validity of the facts or by delaying the final decision. You can use legal ways of addressing you call to other authorities in the hope of a favorable solution.
But in this second phase the courtesy of the authorities isn't even as facade. You are faced with different retaliations from small chicanes to long but well organized persecution including murder attempts too.
Practically you are forced to give up your claim for recognition of your legitimate rights and you can go ahead only if your life is any way in danger.
After exhaust domestic possibilities and conclude that the national authorities are unable to resolve your case it appears as a bright sun on the sky which was cloudy the outlook on solving it by European bodies.
The media has created a fascinating aura about them. The victory seems to be near!
Then realize sadly that you called in vain the bodies of the European Union because the European Union hasn't any organization to resolve individual complaints of violations of human rights.
You apply full of confidence to the European Court of Human Rights but after a time you realize its ineffectiveness.
Finally you reach the conclusion that human rights in Europe exists only in theory and not in fact.
The authorities are aware of this state of affairs and that there is no compulsion for them to respect the fundamental rights of the citizens, proven by the fact that they continue their violations in case when they know that the European Court of Human Rights was notified before.
The situation is similar in European countries proved by the large number of complaints sent to the European Court of Human Rights. No signatures yet. Be the first one!
