With a 40% increase this year in rough sleeping in Exeter, a shelter for the winter months is more crucially required.

Do you really want to see dead people on the streets of Exeter? No? Well, in that case Safesleep should be allowed to help by providing emergency accommodation.

We get to know the local homeless community each winter as we work on the Exeter Christmas market. On the whole they are a friendly bunch of people experiencing a difficult time in their lives. Providing a safe, warm place to sleep is the least we can do as a community.

Also please consider the empty building below St Thomas station...I would rather see people off the streets then cater for another awful venue. The homeless currently congregate outside...why not bring them in.

With reports of homeless people freezing to death in Birmingham, we absolutely MUST allow, at the very least, temporary shelter over winter.

In 21st Century BRITAIN,6TH richest country,in the world,NO ONE ,should be homeless,vast amounts given to MPs/royals,while empty houses remain,unused.TOTALLY WRONG
