My son was Diamond Cody Cooper from Lake Station he passed away 3 years ago my only child he rode that skatepark everyday probably for 10 years and his friends it means a lot to those boys that gives him something to do and somewhere to go I could always find my son he was at Woodland with his friends I took him food all the time they were good kids they really need that part it means a lot to those boys and the new kids coming up

I love the location at woodland park. With our family being from little to big it nice knowing that whole family is at the park even the dog. The younger children play at the park , the two older two at the skateboard park and my husband takes the dog to park. It is nice knowing you can have picnic together and then they all do there own thing. Please keep everything together! Thank you

Hi there my name is Matthew Woodland has been home to many, and many more to come I can say personally this skate park is perfect for learning and a great skate park for even the newest skater. This park has kept me out of trouble for so long and If hate to see It go, unfortunately It needs work when I was a kid my cousin used to take me there the lights were still functuonal and everything was right where it should be (still is) except for the lights and the park being let go. There are a few who actually reset the coping added a few boxes why go through all that trouble if the park isnt loved. If the park was redone it would bring allot of attention to portage from surrounding aress. We have lost a few friends who were native to the park always were there (Diamond Cody Cooper) And (James Savage) I am completely on board with having the park resurfaced and some new concrete or even black top if the park is well maintained and kept up we could have a better place to skate without traveling and that would be fantastic. Thanks for your time!

I use to skate this park all the time as a teen with my bros and it would be awesome to redo it for future skateboarders just like we were at one time
