Final supporters
This is not a petition but rather what we want for the future of the Skate/BMX/Blade community of Portage. This will be presented to the Park Board by Jenny Orsburn. These signatures will be given to Jenny on Friday, July 14, 2017, as she requested. The signatures reflect the Portage Community's desire to retain the Portage Skatepark at Woodland Park but with a makeover, this consists of repairing the Skatelite where necessary, resurfacing as needed, and turning on the lights. So if you're on board with this please sign it, it will help so much. Tell your friends and family, we need as many signatures as possible.

The Park Board can no longer ignore this massive surge of support for Woodland Skatepark. We are demanding they finally fix these facilities and turn on the lights for our community.

I grew up skateboarding at woodland park. It is a great skatepark and would be shame and waste of money to build a new one rather than fix and maintain the current one
Investing in the youth is a very big deal. If the park goes down so does the direction in which they turn their energy and creativity towards. Some of which aren't good. This park provides a positive outlet. Build it up so hopefully more youth will see that there are better activities than being out in the streets getting into mischief.
This is my home. Been coming there since it was a tennis court. I would live to see it get revamped and renewed with the same setup.
My son was Diamond Cody Cooper from Lake Station he passed away 3 years ago my only child he rode that skatepark everyday probably for 10 years and his friends it means a lot to those boys that gives him something to do and somewhere to go I could always find my son he was at Woodland with his friends I took him food all the time they were good kids they really need that part it means a lot to those boys and the new kids coming up
I love the location at woodland park. With our family being from little to big it nice knowing that whole family is at the park even the dog. The younger children play at the park , the two older two at the skateboard park and my husband takes the dog to park. It is nice knowing you can have picnic together and then they all do there own thing. Please keep everything together! Thank you

The skate park really does need a make over some of the plat forms are freaky to stand on because you think you are about to fall in
