I am looking for someplace to walk in winter. Would love to be able to walk through the golf course. I need a path that is not too slippery as I am 70 and not good with falling.

Love the parks around Nokomis and Hiawatha--use them a lot. Would like to see a plan like this in place.

I grew up 2 blocks to the west of the golf course and have many fond memories of walking to high school (Roosevelt) through the course-along the southern edge in the spring. My father golfed there often and my first boyfriend caddied there-along with many of his friends. Besides my obvious personal feelings about the course, I've developed an appreaciation for the beauty of the Minnehaha Parkway and Nokomis/Hiawatha area since moving to the 'burbs. Now I go back to bike and walk around the area often. This happens because I know the area-others are amazed when I bring them along: "I had no idea this was here" is the kind of thing my friends will say.

We have purchased a family pass for the past three years and have used Hiawatha as much as the weather allows. Our son, who is now seven learned to ski here and will hopefully continue to do so. We also invite friends from other neighborhoods to join us and when they do they usually return on their own. This is a wonderful cross country ski park and we hope the city values it as much as we do. Thank you !

Love the idea -- 9-holes with a more inclusive back half.

I LOVE the ski ideas, would like to learn how to do that myself! A dedicated dog park area would be fabulous and adios to the 18 hole golf course-I dislike golf and herbicides.

I love the idea of the space being used year round. The restaurant idea is great, but please do not make it a seafood only - as that would take out a lot of people from eating there....including my whole family. We use the golf course on a regular basis and would love to have a restaurant right there, as well. This idea could make south Minneapolis an ever greater destination area. Thanks so much!

We live two blocks for Lake Hiawatha and are into outdoors activities year round. We would definitely utilize this incredible space you are proposing and would tell others about it. This plan allows the space to be utilized by many more people, not just golfers and skiers and makes a ton of sense. Thanks for this work.

This is the one place I go to weekly in Mpls for cc skiing in the winter. I practice skijooring with my dog. I have been skiiing here for 20 years. Please retain the nordic culture at such a lovely place.
