to the board of members in NUS/police of singapore who allowed the perpetrator Nicholas from NUS to walk freely without severe punishment for his heinous act: how would you feel if your daughters/wives/nieces have been sexually violated in any form like Monica Baey? would silencing the victim, issuing a half-assed apology letter & a 12-month conditional warning & keeping the issue on the low suffice to serve justice that the victim deserves? i don't think so. what Nicholas did affected the victim's well-being. she is traumatized. this has put other females on high alert as well. from then on, more & more women will only continue suffering from paranoia because justice was never served. time for a change, stop allowing females live in fear.

Moving forward, greater measures need to be in place to guarantee the safety of those on campus.

Justice needs to be served. Not hidden away from the public because of reputation.

A sexual predator needs to be given a harsher punishment and be put away - they can have their counselling session in confinement, because they (and other like-minded individuals who intend to commit similar crimes) need to know that there are consequences to their actions. They should not be let off so easily after robbing victims of their dignity and safety.

Do not protect sexual predators. I'm utterly disappointed at how NUS handled the case. I expected more from a university that claims to be world class and progressive, yet when it comes to sexual misconduct NUS proves that it still is very backward and conservative (for what?) When handling cases like this. This is not the first time such incidents have occurred in NUS. The only reason why it keeps occurring is because there is no strong action taken against the perpetrators. Shame on you.

These things should be considered serious and immediate actions must be taken.

If the student(culprit) is from NUS, he should be able to make smart decisions to know what is right and what is wrong. Hence, he know know the consequences and should face it.

This is such a disappointing matter. Hope NUS will act in a way that befits "the number one university in singapore". How can you ensure the safety of everyone with such a pathetic attempt?

Bring justice to the victims, stop protecting the perpetrators.
