the people who govern (at any level)and the leader of the people who govern are employees of the people, NOT the other way around. poverty, inadequate and unaffordable housing, food banks and hungry kids at school are signs the employees of the people are not doing their jobs. What can we do about this, we being you and me, we the people?

When you see all the high rises being built one would think there's money in there hills to eradicate poverty in this city.
