This is a comprehensive and realistically aspirational expression of what our city can be and and do with and for each other.

I was thinkingh the other day how hard it is for street people to kep themselves and their clothes clean and that there should be a safe facility where they could shower as well as launder their clothes. However what is really needed is much more affordable housing - supported where necessary.

This petition addresses many valid concerns. In a city throbbing with construction of new housing for the "haves" I would stress addressing Affordable Housing NOW for the "have nots".

Toronto has the highest child poverty rate of any major Canadian city. What is so important that prevents us from having the lowest rate in 7 years. This is something we can and must do.

nutritious food for all in our city is a right not a privaledge.Descent Housing is also a right not a privaledge. Just like we have no qualms paying for universal education. our comitment to food and housing for all in our prosperous city should be even more paramount in our minds and hearts
