Women garment workers are the driving force behind the booming textile industry of Bangladesh. Yet, they continued to be exploited by their employers.Thousands of workers lose their lives every year to industrial disasters. Bangladesh’s garment factories have been characterized as unsafe working condition, low wages, long hours, sexual harassment, violations of labor laws, and poor enforcement of labor legislation. Thus, we as a society need to unite our names together and fight against injustice and inequality in order to provide Bengali women with a better life and a hopeful future.
