Selby "Gardens" is suppose to be about a beautiful garden with plants and trees. There has been a building for meetings, weddings, etc for many years. Our family have visited and enjoyed the gardens for the 33 years we have lived in Sarasota. Why in the world do you need to ruin this beautiful sanctuary in Sarasota? Money, money, money=greed. Can we keep something the way it was intended or will we ruin it the way we have downtown Sarasota?!?!

I love visiting Shelby gardens when I'm visiting Sarasota. Please do not disturb it's beauty for a massive parking structure.

Just NO!! We are destroying what brought these people here and killing any historical memory for native Sarasotan’s!!! Change is ok in moderation.... what we’re doing is insane!

The overbuilding of Sarasota NEEDS TO STOP. The infrastructure is a disaster and they keep building. We all know who the culprits are. Boycott anything the currently built. Hit them in the wallet. Boycott Selby until they scrap the plans.

As a long time resident of Sarasota, I am firmly opposed to losing yet another publicly accessible shorefront access and opposed to even MORE concrete replacing a lush green space. This development will benefit only the most financially elite.
