Homework, especially if one is managing sports, a job, or keeping a healthy social relationship with others, can always be a drag. In most cases, homework can cause stress, anxiety, or even depression. Smart, outgoing students can be hurt by not having time do get 8 hours of sleep, with enough time for work, sports, AND homework. Even without homework, schools in Finland, Spain, and other countries manage to have the near highest ranking educational system, proving that separating homework from school can be possible and positive.

Great education allows students to apply knowledge to issues facing our society. We must focus our efforts in schooling on improving the world in which we live, not on work that destroys curiosity and cultivates indifference.

I understand wanting to reinforce what is learned in a school day but two-three hours nightly is overkill. At least from this parent's perspective. Time for change!

A lot of us teens usually have a lot of responsibilities after school some of do sports others have work and sometimes we have to go home and cook and take care of our younger siblings with that and our social lives stacked up together we dont have much time for homework which can take up hours and keeps us up late at night stressing

I totally agree! The stress and anxiety of homework is overwhelming! I have 3-4 essays due this week, and doing all of them at home with a limited amount of time stresses me out to the point that I don't want to do it, but if I don't I fall behind, and if I do, I'm super stressed for how ever long it takes to complete the paper

"My homework will take you no longer than 3 hours" YOU DO REALIZE WE HAVE 6 OTHER TEACHERS RIGHT. UPHEY YOURE MY MATH TEACHER, WHATS 7X3?? 21. WHICH GIVES US 3 HOURS LEFT OF THE DAY EVEN THOUGH WE STILL HAVE TO SLEEP, GO TO SCHOOL FOR 8 HOURS, SPEND TIME WITH MY FAMILY, AND DO EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES WHICH IS PROBABLY THE ONLY REASON I STILL GO TO SCHOOL INSTEAD OF HIDING IN MY CLOSET WITH S BOX OF CHEERIOS.
