My daughter is 8 and I feel she does not have enough road safety awareness to cross the road independently.

Every school should have assisted crossing patrol.

i have found this to be a very busy road with not only cars but buses and wagons with very little respect for the speed limit, please make this safe for our children!

Saving money should never get in the way of children's safety. School crossing patrols are vital.

Primary age children should not be crossing busy roads by themselves. It should not take an accident to prove that a busy road near a school needs a lollipop person!

There is a school at Sprotbrough in Doncaster called The Richmond Hill Primary School who has a pelican crossing outside the gates. Not only this they can justify a lollipop lady stood at this crossing pressing the button!! And they can't warrant a lollipop lady for our children...are they for real???

Dropping and picking up children at The Ellis can be dangerous because of the number of vehicles that go speeding past. Children have to be protected and a School Crossing Patrol is essential.

School crossings are a must!! Too many people are in a rush in their cars near built up areas, it would be so easy for a child to get hurt without this vital service in my opinion!

This will stop some children being able to have a little independance and walking to school without their parents, more parents may need to drop their children off in the car due to having no safety crossing and therefore causing even more traffic. This is a very busy, fast road and I feel it will be dangerous for te children without a crossing patrol.

There is empirical evidence that a child is unable to cross a road safely until they are at secondary school.

what happened to encouraging children to walk to school without reliable crossings more parents will be dropping kids off in cars resulting in more accidents and unhealthy kids .

Strongly agree with the requirements of a crossing assistant at this school.
